Vietnam, HCMC II: Củ Chi

Củ Chi  - The underground tunnel network that used by Vietnamese guerrilla army in the fighting against the mighty U.S. and allies.

The breathing hole - disguised as a termite mounds

A tank with battle damage

Shooting range, shooting with the assault rifle AK47

Aiming but couldn't hit the target, I wonder if the bullet is an empty one.

Inside the tunnel, we just barely can walk and I was told that the tunnel is already enlarged for tourist.

We "crawl" for around 40 meters and it was so tiring...

The technology the dug a tunnels that extended longer than hundred kilometers

The hiding point of Vietnam sentinel , camouflaged and almost undetecwhen it is closed

A automatic trap, low tech but effective

The killing bamboo spike

A gallery of some undetonated bombs. The bombs were collected by Vietnamese for the gunpowder. Just imagine how dangerous the job was.

The main food of the Vietnam soldier during the war  - made by tapioca powder where it can grow anywhere in the jungle.

The slipper made by rubber tire

The way going down to deeper level

The underground meeting room
